How a 1960 Thunderbird can come apart

This has got to be my favorite action photo from Daytona speedway.
The year is 1960 and the running of the Daytona 500.
That is Tommy Herbert of Miami flying over the guardrail near the west turn in his 1960 Ford Thunderbird.
Check out all the sections of car that have left it.
Just above the trunk of the #49 '60 chevy, is the motor.
To the bottom right is the hood.
Just above the hood is the front grill and bumper.
Yep, up there above the trees is the front wheel assembly.
Tommy had some bad injuries but he did survive.
