Pre -WWII midget race car restoration project, was a barn find from Springfield Ma & was originally raced in the New Hampshire/Upper New York areas. the car was originally a flat tail pre-WWII but the helmet blister was added sometime later. the body resembles a hilligess style high tail and the frame is very close to the stamped rail frames that were produced by "Pop Dreyer". the midget has the original Model A narrowed front suspension & narrowed banjo rear with mechanical brake, the midget was set up for a V8-60 power plant + In & Out box. This project has all the key hard to find parts and the parts that are missing are still available either as NOS or reproduction pieces. This car is non-running and will require the supplied V8-60 engine to be rebuilt as well as rebuilding of the key front end parts (bushings-bearings) & the original narrowed rear that is now locked up from sitting. This car will require metal fab work to finish the nose & fit the new hood as well as assembly, Paint & mechanical rebuilding skills to complete. Comes with many new and used parts- v8-60 engine & extra block, magnesium wheels, used tires,Cornis I/O box w/custom mid/block plate, ford aluminum heads, eddie meyer repop water pump block off plate, gauges, auminum dash, model A center steering with 13" midget steering wheel, used v8-60 headers & exhaust pipes, new hair pin radious rods, tie tods & mounts, new(used) model a axel & t-tube extension piece, NOS midget radiator core (to build a new radiator). for a complete list and more pics please PM me with your direct email. The rear tail & main body has been sanded & is in epoxy primer, the frame front end & rear have all been media blasted. a great project for someone interested in restoring a piece of american racing history or just wanting to relive there early days from when they raced or watched these cars race? I decided to go a different route and build a car with my teenage son more to his style (and less mine). $7000 for the project OBO or possible trades??? located outside of Philly in PA
