Berlin Raceway - Marne, MI.

Back in the early '70's we had some neighbors who knew our family was real big into auto racing. They had taken a trip out to Michigan one summer and much to my surprise brought me back a 1973 program from the Berlin Raceway in Marne, MI.

Not only was this just a program from the speedway, but they had gone back to the pits after the races were over and got some 50 plus drivers to autograph the cover and many pages inside the book. I was totally knocked out! A very cool gift for a young race fan!

I thought I'd share some of the pages with the members here on ARM. Later I'll scan and share some more of the photos in the program.

I don't know much about this track, but maybe some of you have some memories or history you can share with us here in this thread. According to Wikipedia the track opened in 1950 and still holds races to this day. It's described as a 0.438 mile paved oval and hosts both ARCA and CRA tours.

Supposedly, Berlin Raceway takes it's name from the city of Marne's original name "Berlin" which was changed due to anti-German sentiment following World War I.
