I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.
The Rocky Mountain Creme De La Chrome Auto Show was held the Friday, Saturday and Sunday following Thanksgiving. As many of you know, I have a booth at those shows where I sell my decals, lettering and pinstriping. Many of you know that I personally cannot get enough of Pat VanDykes #9 Lakeside modified stock car known as The Golden Chariot. During the weeks leading up to the show, I built a model of the Chariot and took a few pictures to bore the other guys that work with me there. But, I did not expect to see Mike VanDyke, Pats son, show up with the 1966 CARC Best Looking Car trophy and a model his mother built of the #50 Nifty Fifty coupe his father owned before the Chariot. He presented me with both and I promised to take great care of them. The trophy appears next to the Chariot in a picture taken in 67 at the Nat'l Western complex, during the Sabres show where it took first place in its division. So I thought I had better share my good fortune with you.
