The 1967 Indy 500 had to have the greatest collection of drivers ever assembled for race. Look at the drivers who didn't make the show first

Veteran indy and usac drivers, Jim Hurtibise, Bill Cheesbourg, Greg Weld, Bob Wente, and Johnny boyd to name a few, plus Formula one winners Lucien Bianchi, Ritchie Ginther, Pedro Rodriguiz, and Peter revson. F-1, Can Am drivers Masten Gregory and Ronnie Bucknum.

The drivers that raced in that race were Indy Winners, AJ Foyt, Parnelli Jones, Gordon Johncock, Johnny Rutherford, Bobby Unser, Al Unser, Mario Andretti, Jimmy Clark, Graham Hill, usac series winners, Jim Mclereath and lloydRuby,
F1 drivers Jochen Rindt, jackie Stewart, Dennis Hulme, nascar winners Cale Yarborough and Leroy Yarbrough, national AMA champion Joe Leonard, NHRA champion Art Pollard, sprint car champions, Roger Mcluskey, Chuck Hulse, Bobby Grim, Carl Williams, Larry Dickson, along with Dan Gurney.
I'm sure I left some out, but really can anyone think of a better collection of drivers ever assembled
