I guess the best way to introduce myself is to say that I am the very proud daughter of the late Mack Clingan.
My Dad was a driver and owner for many years. He started racing at Sportsman Park and continued on to race at many dirt track such as Sharon, Williams Grove, Skyline, Hilltop, Mechanicsburg, Lernerville, Limaland, Canfield, Cloverleaf, K.C., Lorain County, Sandusky and East Bay....only to name a few.
His drivers included the late Doc Dawson and Steve Unger....but there were many others.
The only time he ever drove for someone other than himself, was when he drove for the Long Brothers.
There is much I could go on and on about....but those of you who were around in the 50's, 60's and 70's could tell me much more than I could share about my Dad. I never had the privledge of seeing him driver....I only have the stories that Dad told and that I've heard from so many others through
the years.
