I learned to road race on the streets of Detroit , running from the cops to avoid tickets on my motorcycle in the late 50's. I had a lot of fun running autocross and road rallies ( totally different from todays ) in VW's and 356 Porsche's. I started road racing on my motorcycle in 1961. In 1969 i got a motorcycle sidecar racing outfit. With my wife as passenger , we went on to win 2 championships and were given an entry for the Isle of Man TT in 1974. This race is held on the public roads on the island , 38 miles around for 1 lap. With over 100 entries in our class , we started 76th and finished 30th. I am retired now. I spend some of time working to restore my 74 VW Super Beetle. When I figure out how to upload a photo , I will post them.
